The Style Nurse provides fashion styling, tailored to your specific needs across Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and London. Whether it's personal styling for the individual, finding that perfect outfit for an important event, or curating a signature style for a photo shoot or campaign.

I provide a friendly and personal service, creating your individual style from a wardrobe that inspires you, filled with beautiful pieces that work for your personality, lifestyle, and budget.

My story

I’m Karen, a former nurse with a keen eye for style and a life long passion for fashion. I retrained as a fashion stylist and image consultant at both the London College of Fashion and the London College of Contemporary Arts.

Continuing to help people, just in a slightly different way, I am passionate about encouraging my clients to feel good about themselves.

With a professional career in the NHS spanning over 20 years having worked as a specialist nurse, my slightly diverse career path has equipped me with the professional skills necessary to continue to provide a uniquely holistic approach, whilst working with each individual client, giving them a daily dose of style and confidence from their carefully selected new wardrobe.

My aim is to leave you looking and feeling fully refreshed and actually excited about getting dressed in the mornings by a wardrobe that works hard for you.

Personal styling

Individual consultation – £75
Free when booking another service

During this initial consultation, I will analyse your styling needs by using a personalised questionnaire to obtain all the vital information needed to assess your individual colouring, body shape and style preferences. From this consultation you will feel empowered and confident knowing you can choose the right type of clothes to flatter your body shape and represent your own individual style.

Wardrobe edit – £250 (3hrs approx)

As a wardrobe stylist, I work methodically with you, where we will go through the entire contents of your existing wardrobe and pull together outfits that suit your body shape and lifestyle. Together, we will create the ultimate capsule wardrobe and create signature looks with the pieces that you already own. I will also compile a list of items which you may wish to purchase that will fill the gaps and allow your wardrobe to work even harder for you, so that when you’re next out shopping, you know exactly what you’re looking for.

Personal shopping – £275 (3-4 hrs approx)

Shopping with a personal stylist can save you time, money and even wardrobe space. How many times have you bought something and never worn it? With the aid of my styling services I will ensure that you only purchase key investment, versatile pieces that will last the test of time and cleverly update your look with seasonal trends. You will no longer experience the frustration, hassle or time drain on trying to find the perfect wardrobe and instead feel excited about your new found strong style identity. You will realise after our time together that there is no longer a need to continuously spend money buying unnecessary items, as I will guide you on how to multi wear each piece, ensuring maximum value for money and reducing that cost per wear!

The full package – £495

For maximum benefit and value for money, I would highly recommend booking all three of the services suggested above. This will without doubt save you time and money and leave you looking totally fabulous.

Event styling

Dressing for a special occasion can be daunting for even the most confident of shoppers. With my assistance you can eliminate this stress, anxiety and pressure and concentrate on looking and feeling your best!

To make this a pleasant and positive experience I will carry out a pre-shop. This will ensure the time you spend with me is productive and that you will see the best outfit options appropriate for your special occasion.

Style clinic

A style clinic is an entertaining and practical way for you and your friends to learn some of the best fashion styling secrets from an expert.

This fashion party can explore a number of the key fashion tips such as how to:

  • dress to suit your individual body shape
  • select the colours that work best for you
  • maximize your wardrobe’s potential
  • invite current trends into your wardrobe
  • build a capsule wardrobe.

These clinics can be tailored to suit your styling needs, e.g. from a corporate office to girls organising a fun night out, or maybe clubs or societies looking to organize a specific event.
